With urban planning under attack from all sides and yet unlimited
urbanization now pervasive, the paradigmatic crisis of urbanism is at its
peak. Fortunately the theory of complex systems is arriving at maturity and
it is now possible to conceive a scientific explanation and critique of
urbanism.
